8 Success Keys for 2017!

We all know the famous “resolutions” for the New Year. It’s sometimes boring to take new resolutions years after years and remain unsatisfied with the outcome. Maybe you are using the wrong process to realize your dreams.

As the year 2017 start, I invite you to read and apply these 8 simple steps to achieve your goals. You will do even more than what you planned. After 8 years of systematic applications of the goal principles, I felt I was not moving forward.

I discovered these 8 success keys from my readings and I am impressed by the results after 4 years of practices.

Know who you are. It’s very important to know your strengths and weaknesses. You can do that by simply looking at your experiences. After the evaluation, focus on your strengths and the opportunities you can achieve.

If you like writing, an opportunity in 2017 could be that you will publish your first eBook.

Identify the needs. As you were moving through 2016, you surely noticed there were gaps to fill in some areas of your life, family or community. Based on your strengths, decide to do something to fill those gaps in 2017.

Still, in writing, you may have noticed that there is no written evidence of drug addiction in your community. Decide to write on the issue for the whole year and you’ll be amazed on the pieces produced.

Personal development. Take a time to read about the type of character/personality needed for the actions you will take in 2017.Does it request you to be more extrovert or introvert?Planning to be a community leader for a cleaning project requires leadership skills. If you are shy, you might have to develop leadership abilities to fulfill your goals.

Preparation. Invest the first month of the year 2017 to prepare your action plan. Where are you going to start? With who? For how long? What are the financial resources needed for these actions and where could you get them?

Optimism. This is the key element that will fuel you as you encounter challenges during the process of achieving your goals. Be ready to make readjustment and changes in the plan but keep the focus on your vision.

Generally, after 3 months, you should be able to evaluate the impact of your commitment and see what adjustments are necessary to be done to achieve your goals for the remaining 9 months of the year.

Identification. Speak, dress, eat, sleep, and socialize with people to whom you will provide any support/help or who work in the same field.

If you want to be a pilot, read about it, watch movies related to it, visit pilot schools, meet formal pilots or active ones.

Integrity. Decide that your success shall be based on honesty, truth, hard work, and humility. You will be proud to achieve something of great impact with a clear conscience.

A simple rule here is to follow instructions and ask questions to the right people about what you don’t understand.

Teamwork. Associate with people who see like you and share the same values with you. Invest time to build trust with them because they are likely to be those who will understand you. They will also encourage you in times of trials.

A leader once said: “If you want to succeed, go alone; If you want to go far in your success, work in team.”

As you noticed, this is a very active process in which you are the master in command. You can even add your own discovery as you move on in the year.
